Dreams...

theyre interesting..hard to remember..kinda weird :/
all in all, i like them :)
if you know how to 'interpret' them, you get to know a bit more about yourself and thats cool cuz its difficult enough already to describe yourself in a few words. for example, if i told you i was intelligent, short and complex, it wouldnt really tell you who i am. but now if i told you my dream, it could let you go a bit deeper and really let you in on the secret i like to call myself. everyone claims to be someone but when you think about it, everyone can be anyone...it makes sense but it can be confusing. i dont really know who i am, but i can tell you what i dreamt about last night and relate to my everyday life like this.
i think it would be interesting to be a dream analyst because it's fascinating stuff and you never stop learning!
waking up in the morning and being able to remember your dream and interpreting it is soooo captivating. sometimes its the weirdest things but dreams really reveal your deepest thoughts which you technically dont control since dreams are a part of your subconscious mind; but thats what makes it so captivating.
i dont know.
this sort of thing has always grabbed my attention. its the stuff i cant get enough of. and every once in a while, dreams seem to jump ahead in my life and when my life catches up with the dream, i get extreme spells of deja vu. sometimes i even get flashbacks from my very early childhood. i know the memory is close to incapable of remembering events and people from this timeframe in a child's life but somehow i feel like i've already lived my dream. for me, these are the most vivid dreams with colour sounds and faces to the people. not every dream has this; usually theyre faint with no faces and unusual sounds and words which dont make much sense...
enough about dreams now, take this to the pillow with you and think about it when youre about to fall asleep, and in the morning, i would love to know what you dreamt about :)

what do I think about bill c30..?

well for starters, bill c30 is ridiculous! it is pointless and  Rick is right; the government has no business in the computers of the nation (or something like that). it is unreasonable to ask someone to share this sort of information with the government; it has nothing to do with secrecy but it just isnt right! there is too many other things the government knows. canada is a democratic country and i think piracy and ip address information is a sublte way of adopting cummunist living. this isnt necassarily an extreme case; but seeing how the government acts and closely paying attention to patterns has us set to inheriting other ways the communist countries act. i think Vic should rethink his little idea and actually let canadians know what REALLY is going on here...dont let him fool you too!

"new canadians are our proudest citizens" <-- are you serious? :o

i found this article on the sympatico homepage this afternoon. it was unbelievable. the person who wrote the article is either a computer geek without any knowledge of the real world or a brainless politician who has his head too far up his behind.  **read this! they cant actually be serious?!**
the comments on the article are probably the best thing about it. the people who write these things and put them out for the public to see are some kind of crazy. it MUST be a social experiment to see the reactions they can get out of people. if you ask me, canada used to be a respected place where people could become one with the nation...now its more like a big mix up of where you really are (is this some middle-eastern country or did we just loose our own people??)
i have nothing again immigration but when the immigrants take over and use and abuse the services and help we provide for the people who care about our country, then there is just a line theyre crossing. the line isnt just a metaphor either; it is our canadian identity and border which is being violated by careless immigrants who think canadian citizenship is a free ride...heck, and while theyre at it, the bring their whole family.
the only time i ever hear about a 'new canadian' using their canadian citizenship is when theyre back in the country they came from and war happens to brake out. then when shit really hits the fan is when they call up the canada and say "hey, want to get us the hell out of here?...and while youre at it, my cousins, uncles, aunts, grandparents, and so on need to get help too."
canada used to be respected around the world; now, theres too many new canadians that the rest of the world couldnt even tell you what colour the original ones were. its sad to see a beautiful country like this go to undeserving immigrants who cant speak our languages, dont help pay our taxes and take our pensions after only three years of living here because it would be 'politically incorrect' to deny them from receiving pensions and top dollar jobs because it may be considered racist or violating their equality rights.
i would just looove to read some feedback on this post. let me know where you stand!

class discussion...

http://www.ctv.ca/CTVNews/TopStories/20120214/mcguinty-firearm-minimum-120213/

so we just talked about this in my sociology class yesterday. if you read the article, i would definitly agree with the judge. just because the guy had a gun doesnt mean he should be charged for the full three years. yes, he was stupid to do that; and yes, he should be punished. however, it wouldnt make sense if we paid thousands of dollars for this innocent guy to be incarcerated just because a minimum sentence says so. when people go to court, there are several things to consider for sentencing...previous convictions, reasons for having the gun, a statement from the defendant, maybe a sentencing circle or other ways to solve the problem. but there should be different sentences for different people because not everyone is the same...so why should they have the same sentences?!

parents, this is a message for you....

dont you hate it when you have to be somewhere and it matters whether you're late or not? well think about that...
now think about being late but this time its not your fault because you are relying on your parents to get you there but SOMEHOW they manage to get you there late every. time. -.-
tell me about it.
when you DO end up getting there whether its only 5 minutes late or even an hour, someone is upset about it. in my case, its usually the teacher or my principal, or today it was my best friend. she's going on an exchange to europe and she was counting on me to be there early so i can help her set up and stuff. turns out i showed up late and everything was already done. FUN!
anyway, my friend ended up forgiving me but it was still dumb. sometimes people dont always forgive other people for being tardy. you cant do much about it when youre a kid and you have to count on your parents but its not always going to be that way. i know my parents wont always be there but while they still are, i would LOVE to be on time for once in my life. i may rant about my parents a lot but i still love them. i DO wish they would understand me a bit better sometimes though...

how ordinary people become mosters...or heroes

my stepdad and i were talking about politics and government this morning (what a wakeup) and power was the main point that came across. power is evil and
absolute power is absolute distruction!
so after we talked about this for a bit, i remembered an awesome video that was shown to me in grade 10 civics/careers class. this is the best TED talk ever. philip zimbardo is a psychologist and has a pretty interesting view about good and evil. i suggest this 100%. i was soooo amazed by his intelligence and intelect about this subject. this is a video i could watch over and over again. definitly a must see :)
